THE RESORT

Seven musically themed cottages, all with at least two bedrooms. In a setting of rolling hills and a rustling creek, all on a semi-private lake for swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Enjoying the outdoors in year round cottages with lots of wildlife yet near many local attractions.

  • Lots of water sports - Fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming. The area has many lakes and rivers to discover. Not one moment of boredom at Lakeside Melodies.
  • Enjoy folk music - Bill and his friends are often together in the Summertime to share music by the evening fire.
  • Kids have a blast! - They can play in the water, on our sandy beach, run around on our spacious grassy fields and have fun at the playground.
  • A nature lover? - Then you will like Little Pleasant Lake and all the lakes surrounding us. The area is great for biking and hiking.
  • Bring your camera - Sometimes deer and other animals come visit the property! We'll do anything to make your vacation the best you've ever had!

Small lake beauty and nature

Little Pleasant Lake is a small, 30 acre, no wake lake that is perfect for fishing year round and swimming in the summer. Since there are no motor boats, you can fish or swim anywhere on the lake without worry. For fishing, the lake is full of blue gill, crappy, perch, large mouth bass, and a few others. We have three row boats, three canoes, and two kayaks available to explore the waters. Call or email if you have any questions about the lake or area.

Free Fishing Weekend

June 8 and 9, 2019 - Two days twice a year, families and friends can enjoy one of Michigan's premiere outdoor activities, Michigan Fishing, for FREE! All fishing license fees will be waived for two days. Residents and out of state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes' waters for all species of fish. All fishing regulations will still apply. For many, the annual Free Fishing Weekend has become a tradition - a time to get together and have some fishing fun. While some may find time to reflect while fishing, there are no limits to variations on a great theme!

Internet for All

Lakeside Melodies is now connected with a high speed fiber internet upgrade that is available to all the cottages. We now have at least 25MB/sec WiFi for all the cottages and even most of the outside areas. With the introduction of better WiFi, we have also upgraded all our televisions to be Smart TVs. While we have discontinued our satellite TV service, now all cottages should be able to stream TV content. But who is watching TV here anyway? Maybe on rainy days.

Nature so close

If you sit quietly outside, you can't help but notice all the beautiful birds, flowers, trees, and wildlife. Be sure to check out our Facebook page for the latest images. We can't stop taking more and more pictures of this beautiful place!

About Us

We are Bill and Carla, the couple behind Lakeside Melodies. The first time we saw this place, we fell in love with it. The rolling green hills, beautiful Little Pleasant Lake, the peaceful creek and the two happy ducks living in it. We bought the place and renovated it into a resort, where we would like to stay ourselves. Our goal is to make our guests feel at home. Call or email us and we can tell you all about Lakeside Melodies.

Our stay was amazing. Just perfect. Already planning our next trip back!
