Free Winter Fishing Weekend

Two days twice a year, families and friends can enjoy one of Michigan's premiere outdoor activities, Michigan Fishing, for FREE! All fishing license fees will be waived for two days. Residents and outstate visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes' waters for all species of fish. All fishing regulations will still apply. For many, the annual Free Fishing Weekend has become a tradition - a time to get together and have some fishing fun. While some may find time to reflect while fishing, there are no limits to variations on a great theme!
Lakeside Melodies is the perfect place to ice fish and step inside a warm cottage when you need to get off the ice. So grab a pole and your family and friends, and let's go fishing!
Ski Weekend at Swiss Valley
We have just booked another weekend for excited skiers to take advantage of this snowy winter season. Swiss Valley Ski Resort is only a 15 minute drive away. We also have Meyer Broadway County Park just 5 minutes away where you can cross country ski or go tubing for only a $1 donation per person. Of course, you can always step outside your cottage and walk on to Little Pleasant Lake to pull the perch, crappy, and blue gills from the cold water beneath the ice.
