Folk Cottage

Character: this lakefront cottage on the creek is one of our favorites. It's a lovely cottage, with a rustic wooden interior. And very recently completely renovated. That means new floors, new bathroom, new kitchen, etc. But the best part about it is the location: directly on the lake and the creek. Step outside in the morning and have breakfast at the porch, looking at Little Pleasant Lake, with the gentle rushing of the stream in the background.
Facilities: complete kitchen, refrigerator, television, radio/cdplayer, heating (so year round). To save space we have a practical dining set. The table folds out into a sturdy, extra large dining table. Extra chairs (up to 8) are provided in case you rent the cottage with a group.

Deer spotting

Ever woken up with deer next to your cottage? Those beautiful elegant animals just outside your porch?
A breath taking moment.
It happens a lot at Lakeside Melodies.
Deer come out of the woods and walk to the lakeside.
We keep trying, but it's hard to take pictures of them, because they quickly disappear in the woods as soon as they hear or see anyone.
Best chance of seeing them is early in the morning or at dusk.
