The festival is over for this year and it was more successful than ever. We had a great turn out, wonderful music, renewed old friendships and made many new ones. Friday night open stage had a great variety of folk music, an appreciative audience, and was a great start to the festival. The jamming that night was wonderful. A large group of musician and listeners gathered on the stage and played music together for almost two hours.

Saturday
Saturday started with well attended workshops and smaller jams starting out both inside and outside of the Music Hall. Dan's workshops really brought some clarity to the difficult side of playing for many of us dulcimer players. Dinner time was another nice time to visit, check out the vendors, and get in a little more jamming. The Saturday night concert was nothing short of amazing. the workshop leaders all gave wonderful performances, topped by an almost 90 minute set of music by Dan Landrum. He is a master of the hammered dulcimer and he showed it there, as well as relating to the audience in a way that made it a truly personal and rewarding night.

Sunday Gospel
The Sunday Gospel sing was an intimate sharing of music and friendship. As people pulled away, there were many promises of returning for next year.
