We don't know about you, but we are looking forward to a sunny, happy and of course musical Summer!
Young and Promising
Last summer the Lakeside Melodies stage was the domain of young, fresh talent. Adrienne Frailey, accompanied by Joy Frailey played a lot of tunes from her first, just released cd Goodnight to the stars. A CD full of original tunes. Adrienne Frailey, coming from a musical family, is developing into a good singer/songwriter. Her voice has matured over the last couple of years, which shows in the number of good (folky) ballads and other songs on her CD. She plays guitar and piano. If you're interested, click HERE! The website links you to several youtube movies, so you can judge for yourself. Lakeside Melodies was happy to have her on stage and we're sure this is not the last we will hear from this talented singer.

Wonderful Surprises of Great Lyrics
He's been a musician over decades. Michael Elliott from South Bend. 2009 he played and sang at Lakeside Melodies at one of our musical pot luck dinners for our faithful circle of family and music friends. Elliott surprised the crowd with his original tunes. Beautiful songs about love and life, all written by himself. Great singing and guitar playing, but the lyrics strike you most of all. He had a very attentive and enthusiastic audience.
Real Folk
The audience was pleased with the performance of B.B. Wolfe at Lakeside Melodies. This wonderful singer and songwriter showed he knows what folk is all about. His music comes from a tradition of folk, folk-blues and roots music wrapped around lyrics that are part of what it means to be human and the conditions that brings. A story about life and living. Hear his music on his MySpace page Here.
A Great Blend
Reily O'Connor and Molly Moon swept our usual crowd of their feet in 2009. The musical couple played some great original songs at the stage of Lakeside Melodies during the monthly pot luck dinner for friends and music lovers. Molly playing mandolin and guitar, Reily playing guitar, both singing. The two know how to create a good atmosphere. We'd love to have them back any time! Reily has made several cd's. If you didn't get a chance to join us in May, click HERE to know more about them.
A nice group of musicians joined in the jamming, including guests of Lakeside Melodies traveling with a piano! They had a blast. 'It sounds like this group has been playing together regularly', according to the audience.
